DANUBIUS-PP assessed environmental, socio-economic and policy challenges in River-Sea Systems and identified respective knowledge gaps and research needs. This has been based on a literature review and various expert consultations via questionnaires and workshops. The results of this assessment have been developed further into DANUBIUS-RI’s Science & Innovation Agenda. It describes DANUBIUS-RI’s vision, mission and approach, as well as provides a scientific framework for DANUBIUS-RI’s design and highlights DANUBIUS-RI’s research priorities for the first five years. DANUBIUS-PP engaged with different stakeholder and user communities by presenting and discussing a draft of the Science & Innovation Agenda in a series of conferences. The Science & Innovation Agenda has been also presented during DANUBIUS-PP’s last General Assembly and Stakeholder Event.
